The Armenian modern painter Hasmik Avetisyan was born in Yerevan. In her paintings Hasmik tries to combine her feminine emotions and origin with restrained sense of intellect that does not lie heavy but rather goes above the concept of sex and becomes merely human. Her philosophy is the perfection of her individuality the analysis of people surrounding her by means of herself and herself means of them.

Hasmik is a perfect artist representing modern Armenian Art to the world.

2. Ararat Minasyan - www.araratminasyan.com

Each person has his own world outlook and everybody decides for himself how to express it. Ararat chose painting in spite of his father’s being a talented pianist, and in spite of the fact that his father inspired him to choose the career of musician. Beginning with music, he later found himself in drawing.

3. Aghasi Talalyan - www.aghasitalalyan.com

Aghasi conveys brightness to his paintings, he creates his characters without taking them into cages . He never becomes the ruler of his characters and he never takes tall on them only because it’s he who creates them. Maybe this is the reason why his paintings release him from being expressed in words…they talk for him…they tell how far the artist’s imagination can go. Being too sincere they open up the artist’s heart and allow you to become the part of this imaginary planet.

4. Ani Rashoyan - www.anirashoyan.com

Though very young Ani Rashoyan already has her own persuasions of an artist. It was not that easy to choose this complicated way of an artist, however Ani was stable in her decision and soon she realized that it’s her rank to be an artist. Ani’s art is based on principles of abstract expressionism. Ani’s paintings include oil canvases, she paints with mixed media as well. As an artist Ani is lucky to discover some features in herself that are very important for an artist. One of these features is the endless ability to see and notice beauty.

5. Mais Mkhitaryan - www.maismkhitaryan.com

Mais Mkhitaryan is a contemporary artist who represents centuries-old traditions and customs of Armenian art flavored with classic elements. 6. Karen Arakelyan - www.karenarakelyan.com

No line is senseless in the works of the artist. In Karen Arakelyan’s art one immediately notices the elements of surprise, unexpected juxtapositions and non sequitur, features typical to surrealism. Considering his art a kind of revolutionary movement, Karen unwillingly struggles with reality, with rules and laws and stated stereotypes that are identically unacceptable for the artist. Inspired by surrealism, Karen Arakelyan’s works contain political and social elements. There is a lot of philosophy in the artist’s tale, however he never forgets the famous saying, “Everything genius is simple.”

7. Ararat Sarkissian - www.araratsarkissian.com

Ararat Sarkissian’s art can hardly be added to any famous direction that is accepted in the world of art. There are no genre or style boundaries for the artist. He creates cycles that later become part of gallery projects. Each cycle is completed by its form, in this completion anyway, the artist leaves ellipsis or in other words gives a cause to think over.

8. Hrach Avagyan - www.hrachavagyan.com

Hrach Avagyan is one of those incredible painters whose art dictates mood.
In love with the beauty of nature the mysterious romantic artist doesn’t accept the artificial beauty. Amazingly sincere artworks of Hrach offer a travelling to the world of the artist. This is an unusual travelling to a world, where one can walk across the curved roads of Paris, sit on the bank of a canal in Amsterdam, enjoy music played by the piano, overhear the conversation of lovers, feel the fresh mountain wind of an Armenian village. This world is so multifaceted that each will find his or her own cosy corner.

9. Sevada Grigoryan - www.sevadagrigoryan.com

Sevada Grigoryan’s art is like a fairytale.
Inspired by the warmth of the family Sevada creates strikingly kind personages that can never leave the viewer indifferent. With his pictures the artist takes us to the world of tales, where there reigns kindness, peace and love, where beautiful princesses undoubtedly find their brave princes.
In his art the artist uses mainly national motives and elements of Armenian folklore. The differing feature of the artist is the use of his amazingly microscopical components. In his art, Sevada puts an accent on the centuries-old Armenian culture.

10. Hrant Tatoss - www.hranttatoss.com

Hrant Tatevossyan’s art dictates mood and as the artist puts it no one must make efforts to go deep into the artist’s inner world and by all means take something out of it.
Overcoming despair, the state of being completely oblivion, staying homeless for months the artist found his way to dignified life. Growing up orphan in an infants’ house the artist never polluted his soul, he never became cruel to the world, on the contrary, he strengthened his spirit and his will. The artist’s endless ability to see beauty  leads him to the inner state to create.
